Introduction:

The 24kV suspension composite insulator is a high-performance insulation component designed for overhead power transmission and distribution systems. It features a ball-and-socket connection mechanism, a uniform gray silicone rubber housing, and five evenly spaced sheds. With a mechanical load capacity of 40kN and a creepage distance of 680mm, it ensures reliable operation in challenging environmental conditions, such as polluted or humid areas. Production Process:

Material Preparation: High-strength fiberglass rods, high-temperature vulcanized (HTV) silicone rubber, and galvanized or forged metal fittings (ball-and-socket type) are inspected and prepared.

Injection Molding: The fiberglass rod is placed in a precision mold, and liquid silicone rubber is injected under controlled pressure and temperature to form the housing and sheds.

Vulcanization: The molded insulator undergoes a curing process to enhance the bonding between the silicone rubber, fiberglass rod, and metal fittings, ensuring a seamless, void-free interface.

Automated Assembly: Metal fittings are securely attached to both ends via compression or adhesive bonding, followed by quality checks for alignment and mechanical strength.

Surface Treatment & Testing: The silicone insulator undergoes hydrophobicity tests, mechanical load tests (up to 40kN), electrical performance tests (including impulse withstand and pollution tests), and final visual inspection.
